Main station settings#

Other stations may use different ports or accounts. Use the details supplied for your station. A listening URL is not a broadcaster connection.
BUTT#
- Open Settings and add a server.
- Choose Icecast and enter the host, port, mount, DJ username and password.
- Select your audio input and encoder. 128 kbps MP3 is the handbook’s suggested starting setting.
- Test first, then connect to the main station at your slot.
Mixxx#
Open Preferences → Live Broadcasting, choose Icecast 2 and enter the station settings. Select your encoder and test the connection. AzuraCast’s software guide includes Ogg Vorbis settings.
Passwords and TLS#
Keep broadcaster config files private. Use the station’s TLS settings if supplied; an HTTPS website does not mean the DJ port accepts TLS. Ask an administrator about certificate errors.
